Lynn Flomer Chase was born to Richard and Shirley Flomer in Walla Walla Washington on January 15th 1948. She grew up in Eugene, Oregon after the family moved there. She attended Colin-Kelly Middle School and North Eugene High School, and served as honored queen of Job's Daughters. She attended Oregon State University as a Business Major and earned her degree in Business Education. Lynn was a ...member of the Delta Gamma Sorority where she served as the standards chair person.

It was at Oregon State where she met her husband, David, and the two were married June 6th, 1970. During their 42 year long marriage David and Lynn served with various youth ministries and institutions around the nation, working with youth, and troubled youth. With ministries in New Hampshire, Massachusettes, Colorado, and California, David and Lynn had positive and loving contact with hundreds of young people. They returned to Eugene in 1983 where she served as a clerical specialist for the Oregon State Student Assistance Commission for 19 years.
The couple had two children, Aaron David Chase of Eugene, and Amy Lynn Chase Lara of Portland. They were the delight of her life, and she was a dedicated mom to them.

Lynn was was affectionately called "Aunt Lynn" by 30 troubled boys at Living Water Ranch for Boys in New Durham New Hampshire, and at Chase Home for Children in Portsmouth. She was deeply loved by many, and gave liberally of herself. She was a fine mother figure who exhibited the love, patience, and kindness of God- and that laugh- they loved Lynn's laugh.

Lynn participated, without hesitation in all of David's outdoor programs for kids, and became an avid outdoor enthusiast, herself. Because of the fine mountaineering training of Norman Benton of Creswell, Oregon, David and Lynn were able to help many troubled youth to understand the dynamics of life and life choices, and the majesty of God.

Everywhere Lynn went, she was deeply loved as a fun, kind, and patient person who always gave others the benefit of the doubt. She was a lover, both of her family and David's large family, and she dearly loved her grandchildren, and all of her neices and nephews- she was truly their "Gram" and "Aunty Lynn".

Lynn passed away on June 12th, 2012 of a glioblastoma brain tumor, after a valiant, and very patient 20 month fight. She died peacefully at home in her favorite room and her favorite bed, with her family around her.

She is survived by all of her friends, and her husband, David, her son, Aaron, her daughter Amy, her father, Richard Flomer of Eugene, her brother, Brad Flomer of Eugene, and her sister Jeni Koch of Haxtun Colorado, four Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her prayer was always, "Lord, make my life a miracle for someone in the world".

We already miss the presence of this angel, Lynn Dee Flomer Chase.
As Darrell Schuh once said, "If you ever get lost in the forest, just listen for Lynn's laugh, and you'll find your way home."
