Well, our date "satisfaction" has changed radically for the NEW Year.  We rolled out of the Chase pad driveway yesterday, and headed down to Winco for a tour through the cliffs of productville, wheeling down in the canyons of goods, wheelchair in one hand, shopping cart in tow with the other.  It took us about an hour to buy things that looked good to us.  I looked high on the shelves, and she looked low.  Then some catfood, TP, and Swiffers........through the checkstand where I amazed myself in remembering how to bag groceries faster than anyone else. If only I could have just hit the bag.......... I guess, once a boxboy, always a boxboy............... 

    Then on to our next activity- Dutch Bros. coffee drive-by where they always treat you like a Dutch Bro or Sis, striking up conversation about "how's yer day goin", where we replied, "on a date", and the reply, "that's nice", with a smirk on the face.  Coffee in hand, we sped off over the flyway down to the bank, the hospital, the pharmacy..........filled up with gas and ate a hamburger at Burger King.

   Far cry from our former best date ever, with a 6 course dinner- wine between each course, and a luxurious room upstairs after dinner, at the Campbell House, on Valentine's Day, 2 years ago. That was a very fun date, especially the train whistles that blew past our room all night. 

   But somehow, today's date was better, 'cause it didn't matter where we were goin' or what we were eating- just that we were together, and today was the only day in our lives.  It didn't matter that I wasn't running, as usual, because all that matters in our lives today is all there is of us.  Tomorrow may not come, so we drive around doing the basic necessities of everyday..........and loving that more than anything at all.  This day is the best date of all.
